Jean Goehring IF YOU SEE SOME THING, SAY SOME THING 18 new paintings
Using a variety and mix of oils, inks, enamels in plaster on canvas & wood, burlap, beeswax and hi-density foam, Jean has created 18 otherworldly, sculptural abstractions. Each piece deserves just a moment to suck you in and get lost in its crazy beautiful landscape.
Jean Goehring is an artist based in Marfa, Texas whose work is focused on abstraction. Jean received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree at the University of Texas, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His earliest work was featured in shows at the CAMH in Houston, the BlueStar and Museum of Art in San Antonio, and was a two-time winner of the Awards to Young Artists from the DMA in Dallas. Jean has pieces in the San Antonio museum of art permanent collection. He showed extensively in Texas and elsewhere. He spent the next 25 years in the architectural design field - fabricating custom furnishings among other endeavors. He has recently returned to making paintings and sculpture.

We are delighted to be talking to El Paso Community College students and faculty next Tuesday, April 14, 10:30-11:30 about building a business from scratch focused on art. And, of course, talking about the Artist Life is the Only Life.
