Please join us this Friday, December 5 5-7 for the opening of MOIRÉ WORK, a new body of sculpture by Cody Barber.
Barber transforms extruded metal into vivid optical instruments. Each piece layers perforated mesh to generate a moiré effect—patterns that shift, vibrate, and fold as viewers move through the space. Powder-coated in hues that echo the brightness of pixels and the ripeness of fruit, the sculptures create a surprising tension between the edible and the digital.
Circular apertures serve as lenses, inviting viewers to look through metal that would ordinarily block sight. This transparency produces an intimate, charged encounter. As the eye moves, the works stir into motion, revealing depth and energy inside their precise constructions.
Moiré Work offers an experience shaped by clarity, presence, and perceptual awakening. The exhibition showcases Barber’s ability to build stillness that behaves like motion and material that becomes a threshold for seeing.
The First Annual Marfa Ornament Sale raised $8000!!! for the Marfa Food Pantry! This doubled our initial goal.
We had over 90 artists participate plus Marfa ISD 6th graders and high schoolers.

Secret Celebrity Santa will ring the bell (SEE THAT BELL!) some time between 6:15 and 7 pm. and it’s a first come first sale. All ornaments are $20 CASH. YES, $20 cash. Everything must go. Marfa Food Pantry will be on hand to take Venmo, but please be prepared to pay cash. Everything goes to Marfa Food Pantry.

History: These are from drops or pieces of wood Camp has had forever. Too beautiful for firewood, so spoons they are. Wood he has had for 30+ years.
Woods: Osage, black walnut, cherry, pecan, mesquite, mahogany, mystery woods.
Each piece is carved according to how it spoke to Camp — getting around knots, splits and checks.
ALL 250 will be on the table starting Friday, November 28. Prices range $30-100.
We have a few lefties! We have EVERYONE IN MARFA IS HAVING A BABY spoons. A lot of those … because! We have WEIRD TOO SEXY WE DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO spoons. Some ladles. Many flat spatulas like what we use daily for eggs and rice and more. Lotsa good ol’ everyday spoons.
If you are not in Marfa and want a spoon, please DM us and we promise to make you happy. Things are a little nuts right now. We might have a lot going on.
